BingX has appointed Kevin Lee as its new Chief Strategy Officer, the exchange announced today. Lee brings more than 20 years of experience spanning institutional finance, electronic markets, financial technology, and digital assets. The hire is part of BingX's push to build a unified multi-asset trading platform that connects traditional finance with crypto.
From JPMorgan to crypto
Lee entered the digital asset industry in 2013, well before the current bull run. He's held senior leadership roles at several digital asset companies, and before that spent years at JPMorgan Chase, Macquarie Group, and BNP Paribas. That mix of TradFi pedigree and early crypto adoption is exactly what BingX wants as it courts institutional users.
Partnerships with Chelsea and Ferrari
BingX isn't a small shop. It serves over 40 million users worldwide and ranks among the top five global crypto derivatives exchanges. The company pioneered crypto copy trading and has been the principal partner of Chelsea FC since 2024. This year it became the first official crypto exchange partner of Scuderia Ferrari HP. Those brand deals give Lee a strong foundation to build on.
Building a multi-asset platform
Lee will lead long-term strategy across platform development, business growth, and ecosystem development. The goal is a single platform where users can trade both digital assets and traditional financial instruments. That's a big lift, but Lee's background suggests he knows how to navigate both worlds. He starts immediately, reporting to the CEO.
