Eightco Holdings Discloses $378M Treasury, Joins World Foundation's $52.5M Round

Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ: ORBS) revealed its balance sheet this week, showing roughly $378 million in total holdings as of August 5. The company's treasury is split between crypto, AI equity, and cash — with Worldcoin and OpenAI making up nearly half the portfolio. Eightco also participated in World Foundation's $52.5 million funding round, a deal led by Pantera Capital.

Eightco's $378M portfolio

The breakdown is specific. Eightco holds $90 million in indirect OpenAI equity, $18 million in Beast Industries, and $1 million in Mythical Games. On the crypto side: 301,971,219 WLD tokens valued at $0.32 each, plus 16,278 ETH. The rest is $142 million in cash and stablecoins. That means Worldcoin represents about 25% of the treasury, OpenAI 24%, and Beast Industries 5%. Eightco's WLD position is 8.4% of the circulating supply — the largest publicly disclosed institutional stake globally, according to the firm.

World Foundation round and regulatory push

Eightco joined a $52.5 million funding round for World Foundation, alongside Pantera, Bain Capital Crypto, Selini Capital, Susquehanna Crypto, and others. The round closed recently. Separately, a group of major financial firms — BlackRock, Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Goldman Sachs, and SoFi — urged Congress to pass the Clarity Act for digital asset regulation. Tom Lee, an Eightco board member, went on CNBC and said: "Crypto is turning money into software... Japan, Russia, Europe are passing Clarity Act-like bills." The timing isn't accidental; the U.S. is still without a clear federal framework.

AI infrastructure boom

The AI boom is creating thousands of high-paying jobs for electricians, carpenters, and other skilled trades needed to build data centers. Nvidia is in talks with OpenAI to provide a roughly $250 billion backstop for a massive project — a 10-gigawatt, $500 billion campus in Ohio managed by SoftBank's SB Energy. Meanwhile, OpenAI has submitted a confidential S-1 for a potential future IPO. Sam Altman suggested on a podcast that we may be approaching the 'singularity.' A World Bank report this week said AI could enable developing countries to gain a century's worth of development in a decade if they act on power, connectivity, and skills gaps.

What's next? Eightco's next quarterly filing will show whether it added to its WLD position or trimmed. The Clarity Act remains in committee. And OpenAI's IPO timeline is still unclear — the S-1 is confidential.
