A Deeper Bet on Tokenization
The initiative places the Brazilian bank at the center of a growing effort to represent real-world assets as digital tokens on blockchain networks. Itaú and OpenAssets have not disclosed which asset classes they will target first, nor have they offered a timeline for when the project might produce live products.
