Ondo Finance Names Former Blockchain.com CFO Adam Schlisman as New Finance Chief

Ondo Finance has hired Adam Schlisman as its new chief financial officer, the company said Tuesday. Schlisman previously served as CFO of Blockchain.com and held an executive role at Monashee, a crypto-focused investment firm. The appointment comes as Ondo pushes deeper into tokenized real-world assets and onchain capital markets.

Schlisman's background

Schlisman brings experience from two of crypto's more established financial operations. At Blockchain.com, he oversaw finance during a period when the company expanded its institutional custody and trading services. Before that, he was at Monashee, where he worked on investment strategy and portfolio management. Ondo didn't disclose whether Schlisman replaces a departing CFO or if the role is newly created.

Ondo's onchain push

Ondo Finance focuses on tokenizing traditional assets — things like bonds, treasuries, and other yield-bearing instruments — and making them tradeable on blockchain rails. The firm has been scaling its onchain capital markets business this year, a space that's drawn increasing interest from both crypto-native firms and traditional finance players. Adding a CFO with Schlisman's background signals Ondo is building out its corporate finance function to match that growth.

Schlisman starts immediately. Ondo is expected to continue rolling out new tokenized products and expanding its network of institutional partners. The company hasn't announced any specific fundraising or listing plans tied to the hire, but the move gives it a seasoned finance lead as it navigates a market that's still finding its footing after the 2025 downturn.
