Paul Tudor Jones's Firm Raises Bitcoin ETF Stake to $22.9 Million

Tudor Investment Corp, the macro hedge fund founded by billionaire Paul Tudor Jones, boosted its stake in BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF to $22.9 million. The Connecticut-based firm now holds 688,529 shares of the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), according to the latest regulatory filing.

The stake and the filing

The new position marks an increase for the fund, which has been publicly active in crypto markets since 2020. The filing covers the period ending June 30, 2026, and was submitted to the SEC this week.

The holding is a bet on the largest spot bitcoin product in the U.S., a vehicle that has pulled in billions in assets since its launch in early 2024.

Tudor's history with crypto

Jones has been a vocal advocate for bitcoin as an inflation hedge. His fund first disclosed a bitcoin position in 2020, and he has since described the asset as a way to diversify against central bank policy.

Tudor Investment Corp, founded in 1980, is known for macro bets across currencies, commodities, and rates. Adding to an ETF stake fits that playbook — it's a liquid, regulated way to gain exposure without holding the underlying asset directly.

Institutional money continues to flow into spot bitcoin products, and a name like Tudor adds weight to that trend. When a macro fund with Jones's track record adds to a position, it gets noticed.

The filing doesn't reveal a price target or a timeline. It just shows the fund is comfortable holding more than it did last quarter.

The next quarterly filing will show whether Tudor kept adding or trimmed. That report is due in November.
