Truth Social Withdraws Crypto ETF Bids, Pausing TMTG's Digital Asset Push

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) quietly withdrew its applications for a suite of cryptocurrency ETFs this week, according to regulatory filings. The move halts a key piece of the company's digital-asset strategy, which had centered on the forthcoming Truth.fi financial platform.

The ETF applications

TMTG had filed for multiple crypto ETFs under the Truth Social brand, aiming to offer investors exposure to bitcoin and other digital assets. The filings, submitted earlier this year, were pulled without explanation. The company did not issue a public statement on the withdrawal as of Wednesday.

A broader strategy

The ETFs were part of a larger plan that included Truth.fi, a financial-services platform TMTG has been developing. Truth.fi was pitched as a venue for trading, payments, and lending — with crypto at its core. Without the ETF products, that vision looks less complete.

What happens to Truth.fi

TMTG hasn't said whether Truth.fi will launch as planned, or if the ETF withdrawal signals a broader retreat from crypto. The company's stock, which trades under the ticker DJT, slipped about 3% on the news. No timeline for Truth.fi has been announced.
