Ansem Opens ansem.io, Lets Token Teams Pay via His Memecoin Supply

Crypto influencer Zion "Ansem" Thomas opened ansem.io on Aug. 17, a platform where token teams can pay for his promotion by giving supply to holders of his memecoin. It's a shift from the standard influencer arrangement, where teams typically pay in cash or other means.

The new payment model

Instead of wiring money or handing tokens directly to Ansem, teams allocate a portion of their supply to anyone holding his memecoin. That allocation is the payment. The site is now live, and the mechanics are straightforward: a team signs up, sets aside tokens, and those tokens go to the memecoin's holders.

What it replaces

The usual influencer deal is a direct exchange — cash, or sometimes a token grant to the influencer themselves. Here, the influencer doesn't take the token. The holders do. That's a meaningful difference, because it ties the promotion's success to the memecoin community's stake, not just to Ansem's wallet.

This flips the incentive structure. A team that wants Ansem's shoutout now has to buy the memecoin or distribute tokens to its holders. That could make promotions more expensive or more complicated, depending on how the memecoin is structured. But it also gives holders a direct stake in every deal Ansem signs.

Live today

The site went live on Aug. 17, with no prior announcement. Whether token teams will actually use it is another question. The crypto influencer market runs on relationships and quick payouts, and adding a memecoin-holder layer is a new wrinkle. Ansem hasn't said which projects, if any, have already signed up.
