Aster and World Liberty Financial Launch $WLFI and USD1 Rewards for RWA Trading

Aster and World Liberty Financial have launched USD1 RWA Boost: Phase 1, a rewards campaign that doles out 125 million $WLFI tokens and 6.25 million USD1 to traders on Aster's perpetual markets. The program runs from Aug. 31 through Dec. 31, 2026, and covers six USD1 trading pairs.

How the reward pools work

Traders earn Trading Points based on taker volume on eligible USD1 pairs, which determines their share of the USD1 pool. Open Interest Points come from holding eligible positions and decide the $WLFI distribution. Anyone using Single Asset Mode with USD1 as collateral gets a 2x boost on OI Points. Rewards are calculated weekly and paid out the following week.

AOS-2: the onchain listing path

The campaign builds on AOS-2, Aster's framework for launching perpetual markets onchain. Projects stake 1 million $ASTER, locked for four years with no early exit, before a validator vote. If approved, the market can go live as soon as T+1; if rejected, the stake returns in full. Listing rules are published onchain, while leverage and other parameters stay under Aster's risk controls.

What the executives said

Leonard, CEO at Aster, said AOS-2 turns Aster into an open infrastructure layer where anyone can launch and operate their own perpetual markets on Aster Chain. Zach Witkoff, Co-Founder and CEO at World Liberty Financial, said real-world assets trading onchain with USD1 as settlement gives traders one dollar instrument across markets.

Aster's push into perpetuals

Aster is a privacy-first trading platform backed by YZi Labs, with Hidden Orders to protect user activity. Aster Chain is a Layer 1 blockchain built for DeFi. The new campaign extends the AOS framework from spot markets to perpetuals, giving projects a standardized way to propose new markets.

The first weekly epoch closes this week, with rewards paid out the following week. AOS-2 proposals that pass the validator vote can go live as early as T+1.
