Binance will remove six tokens from its platform on August 17, triggering sharp price drops across the group. The exchange said the delistings follow routine reviews that flagged each asset with a 'Monitoring Tag' earlier this year.
The affected tokens are Across Protocol (ACX), Hashflow (HFT), PIVX, Vulcan Forged PYR (PYR), Vanar (VANRY), and Viction (VIC). All six had been placed under Binance's monitoring program before the delisting announcement.
Why the tokens were flagged
Binance assigns a Monitoring Tag to tokens that show signs of risk. The exchange looks at team commitment, development activity, trading volume, network security, regulatory changes, and shifts in tokenomics. Tokens with the tag are subject to periodic reviews and can be delisted if they fail to meet standards.
VIC received its tag on April 30, HFT on May 22, PIVX on June 18, PYR and VANRY on July 3, and ACX on July 24. The staggered dates suggest Binance evaluates tokens on a rolling basis rather than in bulk.
Market reaction: steep losses and one outlier
Prices tumbled almost immediately after the delisting notice. PIVX dropped 19.27%, PYR fell 18.31%, HFT lost 11.47%, VIC slid 11.24%, and ACX declined 5.22%. Hashflow hit an all-time low of $0.007.
VANRY bucked the trend, rising 8.23%. The reason for the gain isn't clear from the available data, but it's a reminder that delisting announcements don't always produce uniform sell-offs.
Deadlines for futures, deposits, and withdrawals
Binance Futures will settle all open contracts for the delisted tokens on August 7 — ten days before the spot delisting. After August 18, deposits of these tokens won't be credited to user accounts. Withdrawals will remain open until October 17, giving holders roughly two months to move their assets elsewhere.
Anyone holding these tokens on Binance after the withdrawal deadline will lose access to them on the exchange. The company recommends transferring funds to a compatible wallet or another platform that still supports the assets.
Tokens still at risk
Lisk (LSK) and Stacks (STX) received the Monitoring Tag alongside ACX in July. That puts them in the same review pipeline. While Binance hasn't announced any action against them yet, the pattern from previous delisting rounds suggests they could face a similar fate if conditions don't improve.
Previous Binance delistings have triggered comparable sell-offs among removed tokens, so holders of LSK and STX may want to watch for updates.
For now, the six tokens being removed have a clear timeline: futures close on August 7, spot trading ends August 17, deposits stop August 18, and withdrawals close October 17. Users who want to keep their tokens need to act before those dates.
