Bitcoin, Ether and XRP All Slide as Analysts Flag Make-or-Break Support Levels

Bitcoin, ether and XRP all lost ground over the past week, with BTC briefly tumbling below $80,000 before recovering to around $82,500, according to CoinGecko data. The pullback has put three widely watched support levels into focus, and crypto analyst Ali Martinez has laid out what a hold — or a break — would mean for each.

The short version: BTC needs $81,000, ETH needs $2,350, and XRP needs $1.25. Lose any of them and the next stops are markedly lower.

The $81,000 line in bitcoin

Martinez flags $81,000 as the lower boundary of bitcoin's daily rising channel. If buyers defend it, he sees a rebound toward $84,000 at the mid-range, then $86,500 at the upper barrier.

A break below $81,000 is the other scenario, and it's a deeper one — Martinez points to a slide toward $76,000 in that case. The level matters because it's the floor of a structure that has held through the recent chop; a clean loss of it would remove the technical support that has kept the pullback contained.

Ether's broadening pattern

Ether is trading near $2,440 and faces a test at $2,350, the support line of a right-angled ascending broadening pattern. Martinez says a bounce from that level could push ETH toward $2,700, with the $3,000 psychological zone beyond it.

A daily close below $2,350 is the warning sign. Martinez cautions that it could open the door to a crash toward roughly $2,000. That's a long way down from current levels, and it's why the next few daily closes matter more than intraday wicks.

XRP's inverse head-and-shoulders

XRP is down 7% over the past week and trades near $1.32. Martinez is monitoring $1.25 — holding above it could complete the right shoulder of a potential inverse head-and-shoulders pattern on the 3-day chart.

For a decisive breakout, he says XRP would need a sustained close above $1.56, which could set the stage for a move to $2. Losing $1.25, by contrast, might send the token down to $1.

Why Martinez thinks XRP may have bottomed

Martinez later assumed XRP had bottomed out, pointing to a surge in XRP Ledger transaction volume as the token hovered around the $1.25 support. The total dollar value of coins transferred on-chain skyrocketed to $49.70 billion, coinciding with XRP's rebound.

His conclusion: as long as $1.25 holds, XRP could be on track for a rally toward $2. That's a conditional call, not a promise — the support level is doing all the work in the thesis.

The next few daily closes will tell the story. For now, all three assets are sitting just above the lines their charts say matter most.
