Bitcoin Hovers Near $73,000 After Dip Below $72,000; Humanity Token Surges 81%

Bitcoin slipped below $72,000 on Monday before recovering to around $73,000, failing to reclaim the $74,000 level. The intraday low of $72,500 kept BTC near a key support zone, while the broader crypto market cap settled at roughly $2.55 trillion. Isolated altcoin rallies stood out, but Bitcoin's dominance above 57% signaled lingering caution toward smaller tokens.

Bitcoin Stuck Below $74,000

After dipping to $72,500 earlier in the session, Bitcoin clawed back to $73,000 but couldn't break past $74,000. The asset remains pinned just above the $72,000 support level — a zone traders have watched closely for weeks. Volume picked up during the dip, but buying pressure wasn't enough to stage a convincing recovery. BTC's dominance, holding above 57%, suggests capital isn't rotating heavily into altcoins despite a few standouts.

Humanity, LAB Lead Altcoin Rallies

Humanity (H) surged roughly 81% in the past 24 hours, making it the top gainer among major tokens. LAB token followed with a 52% jump, while Worldcoin (WLD) added 13% to around $0.38, extending its recent momentum. The moves were sharp but narrow — most altcoins didn't join the party.

Top Losers: Morph, Algorand, Bitcoin Cash

On the other side, Morph, Algorand, and Bitcoin Cash each lost between 6% and 8% in the Top 100. The selloff wasn't broad, but it hit these names harder than the rest. Bitcoin Cash in particular has struggled to hold gains from earlier this month.

Market Caution Persists

The $2.55 trillion market cap is down from recent highs, and Bitcoin's continued dominance reinforces the cautious mood. With BTC stuck near support and altcoins moving in conflicting directions, traders are waiting for a clearer signal — either a break above $74,000 or a deeper test of $72,000. The next few sessions will show whether the altcoin rallies can broaden or remain isolated pops.
