Bitcoin Pops to $65K Before Pullback; Bitway Hits New All-Time High

Bitcoin touched $65,000 for the first time in over a week on Tuesday, then slipped back to around $64,000. The move came as the total crypto market cap added $20 billion in a day, reaching $2.280 trillion on CoinGecko. Meanwhile, Bitway (BTW) hit a new all-time high of $0.067, up more than 900% over the past month.

Bitcoin's brief push

Bitcoin's climb to $65,000 was short-lived. After touching that level, it fell back to roughly $64,000, where it was trading at press time. The recovery follows a ten-day low of $62,500 hit on Friday afternoon. That dip didn't last long either — the price bounced over the weekend and into Monday.

Bitcoin's market cap now sits at $1.290 trillion, with dominance below 57% on CoinGecko. That's a sign that altcoins are taking a bigger slice of the overall market than they have in recent weeks.

Altcoin leaders

Bitway was the standout. The token rose 85% in a single day and is up over 900% in the past month. It's not alone. PUMP, CAKE, LINK, and DOT all posted daily gains between 4% and 7%. XRP, TRX, DOGE, and ZEC are slightly in the green, while HYPE and CC are down around 2% each.

Ethereum climbed above $1,900 and is currently at $1,920, up 1%. SOL is trading at $77 after a 1.5% increase. The broad move higher isn't uniform, but the overall direction is clear enough.

Market breadth

The $20 billion daily gain in total market cap puts the crypto market at $2.280 trillion. That's a solid day, but not a blowout. Bitcoin's dominance below 57% suggests money is rotating into smaller tokens, which often happens when the market gets comfortable after a pullback.

Friday's low of $62,500 now looks like a local bottom, at least for now. Whether Bitcoin can hold above $64,000 and push toward its recent highs is the open question. The next few sessions will tell.
