Bitcoin Slips Below $63K as Spot ETFs Post $131M in Daily Outflows

Bitcoin fell below $63,000 in the last 24 hours, touching as low as $62,487, as U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $131.1 million in net outflows on Aug. 13. The pullback extends a rough stretch for the funds, which have now shed $332 million over four straight sessions.

Where the money left

ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF had the largest single-day exit, losing $58.8 million, followed closely by Fidelity's FBTC at $55.1 million. Together those two funds accounted for $113.9 million, or 64.3% of the gross outflows. Bitwise's BITB dropped $9.3 million, Invesco's BTCO lost $7.9 million, BlackRock's IBIT shed $5.7 million, and WisdomTree's BTCW gave back $4.0 million.

The two funds that took in cash

Not everything bled red. Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust and Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust were the only products to attract capital, pulling in $7.1 million and $38.9 million respectively, for a combined $46.0 million. Grayscale's flagship GBTC lost $36.3 million on the day, but the Mini Trust's inflow left Grayscale's combined products net positive at $2.6 million.

Four days of outflows

Wednesday's numbers cap a tough week. Over the four sessions through Aug. 13, net outflows totaled $332 million, erasing 38% of the prior week's $853 million inflows. That prior week was a standout — earlier reports pointed to over $1 billion in inflows, the best weekly showing since April.

Despite the recent slide, monthly flows are still in the green at $521 million net positive. The question now is whether this week's outflows are a temporary wobble or the start of a longer trend. The next few sessions will tell.
