Bitcoin Stalls at $64,300 for Fourth Time as Macro Tailwinds Build, Bitcoin Hyper Presale Tops $33M

Bitcoin is stuck. The largest cryptocurrency traded at $64,068.82 on Wednesday, down 0.42% in the last 24 hours, after failing to break above the $64,300 resistance level for the fourth time. The rejection comes even as global equity markets hit record highs and bond yields ease — conditions that historically have lifted non-yielding assets like Bitcoin.

Macro tailwinds fail to push BTC higher

The S&P 500 and Dow closed at all-time highs. Japan's Nikkei surged 3.5%, South Korea's benchmark jumped 4.3%. Brent crude slid toward $78.85, and the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield eased to roughly 4.603%. Cheaper oil and lower yields have often been a tailwind for Bitcoin. But the $64,300 level has capped every push since July — this is the third or fourth test of that ceiling without a clean break. The price structure since the June low around $58,000 shows a sustained six-week recovery attempt, but it's now grinding into the $64,000 to $65,000 resistance zone.

ETF inflows return after $265M outflow day

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted $19.6 million in net inflows on August 4, following a $265 million outflow day. The flip suggests some institutional buyers are stepping back in. Meanwhile, Strategy sold 1,638 BTC for approximately $105 million — a small amount relative to its total stash of 842,138 BTC. The sale barely moves the needle on its holdings.

Bitcoin Hyper presale raises $33M

Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is positioning as the first Bitcoin Layer 2 with Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) integration, offering sub-second smart contract execution while anchoring to Bitcoin's security. The presale has raised $33,002,521.93 at a current token price of $0.0136842, with staking already live. Presales carry real risk: tokens are illiquid until launch and infrastructure projects face execution risk.

A daily close above $65,000 held over multiple sessions could open $68,000 first, then $72,000. On the downside, $60,000 is the floor and $58,000 is the critical support that cannot break. For now, Bitcoin is testing the same ceiling it's hit since July — the fourth time may be the charm, or it may not.
