Bitcoin Tops $66K as ETF Inflows Hit $227M; LiquidChain Presale Nears $1M

Bitcoin pushed above $66,000 on July 21, extending a recovery that's now five days old. The move was fueled by a steady stream of money into US spot Bitcoin ETFs — Monday alone saw net inflows of roughly $227 million, led by BlackRock's IBIT with $116 million. Total net assets across all those funds have swelled to nearly $79 billion, and Bitcoin's 24-hour trading volume topped $31 billion.

ETF inflows keep the bid alive

This is the fifth consecutive day of net inflows into the spot ETF complex — a stretch that's helped Bitcoin reclaim ground after a choppy few weeks. BlackRock's IBIT continues to dominate, accounting for more than half of Monday's total. The broader ETF pool now holds assets worth about $79 billion, a figure that underscores how much institutional demand has shifted into regulated products.

Analyst Ted Pillows said Bitcoin reclaimed $65,000 and now faces resistance at $67,500 to $68,000. If it breaks $68,000, he expects a quick 5-6% rally. That puts the next few trading sessions in focus — the market's watching whether the ETF flows can sustain the momentum.

LiquidChain's Layer 3 play

While Bitcoin's price action grabs headlines, a separate project is trying to solve a different problem: connecting Bitcoin's liquidity to Ethereum DeFi and Solana's speed. LiquidChain is building a Layer 3 execution environment that uses a Solana-class virtual machine, trust-minimized state verification, and cross-chain proofs for atomic settlements — all without wrapped assets.

The native token, LIQUID, has a capped supply of 11.8 billion. The allocation breaks down as: Development 35%, Marketing and Growth 32.5%, Business Partnerships 15%, Staking and Rewards 10%, and Exchange Listings 7.5%. The presale has raised over $914,000, closing in on a $1 million target. Right now the token costs $0.01482, but that price steps up in two days.

Investors can buy in through the official website or the Best Wallet app, using BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, USDT, USDC, or credit and debit cards. Once purchased, LIQUID can be staked immediately for a dynamic APY that's currently quoted at 1,231% — though that rate adjusts as the staking pool grows.

For Bitcoin, the $68,000 level is the immediate test. If ETF inflows keep coming, the breakout Pillows described could materialize quickly. For LiquidChain, the presale is days away from hitting its $1 million milestone, and the next price increase is set for July 24. Whether the project can deliver on its Layer 3 promises — and whether the staking yield holds up — are questions the market will start answering soon.
