Bitdeer Launches Hydro-Cooled SEALMINER DL1 for Litecoin and Dogecoin Mining

Bitdeer has introduced a new mining rig built specifically for Litecoin and Dogecoin. Called the SEALMINER DL1 Hydro, the unit uses water cooling and delivers 52.5 gigahashes per second (GH/s) at an efficiency of 149 joules per gigahash (J/GH). The announcement adds a fresh option for miners of the two Scrypt-based cryptocurrencies.

What the SEALMINER DL1 Hydro packs

The DL1 Hydro is a hydro-cooling Scrypt miner. That means it relies on liquid rather than air to keep the chips at temperature. Bitdeer says the rig hits 52.5 GH/s and draws 149 J/GH – numbers that put it in competition with other recent Scrypt hardware. The company didn't release pricing or a ship date in the announcement.

Why hydro-cooling matters for Scrypt mining

Liquid cooling lets miners run rigs harder without overheating. It also cuts down on the noise and dust that come with high-speed fans. For operations running dozens of machines, water cooling can mean lower maintenance and more stable performance. Scrypt mining, which powers Litecoin and Dogecoin, has historically favored air-cooled ASICs. Bitdeer's move into hydro signals a shift toward denser, cooler setups.

Targeting the Litecoin-Dogecoin market

The SEALMINER DL1 Hydro is designed for the Scrypt algorithm. Litecoin and Dogecoin both use Scrypt – though Dogecoin merged mining with Litecoin years ago. That means a miner who buys this rig can work both chains at once. Bitdeer, a Singapore-based crypto mining firm, has mostly focused on Bitcoin hardware before. The DL1 Hydro marks their entry into the Scrypt space.

The product arrives as Litecoin and Dogecoin mining difficulty has risen. New, efficient hardware could help operators keep margins in a climate of sliding coin prices and higher power costs. Bitdeer hasn't said when the DL1 Hydro will ship or what it will cost. Miners will have to wait for those details before they can order.
