Bitdeer mined 990 Bitcoin in June, a 7.5% increase from May. The company also said its AI cloud business has reached a $76 million annualized run rate. It's now deploying its own proprietary mining machines — a shift that could reshape its cost structure.
Production uptick
The 990 Bitcoin mined last month marks a solid gain over May's output. Bitdeer doesn't break out hash rate changes in the same release, but the 7.5% jump suggests either more machines came online or efficiency improved. Either way, it's a welcome bump for a company that's been working to scale.
AI cloud business gains traction
Beyond mining, Bitdeer's AI cloud segment is starting to look real. The $76 million annualized run rate means the business is generating about $6.3 million per month. That's still small next to mining revenue, but it diversifies the top line and gives investors something to watch beyond Bitcoin's price.
Proprietary hardware deployment
Bitdeer is also deploying its own mining machines — a move that cuts reliance on third-party suppliers like Bitmain. The company has been developing its own chips and rigs for a while. Putting them to work in its own facilities means it can capture more margin and control the upgrade cycle. It's a bet on vertical integration that a few other miners have tried, with mixed results.
Bitdeer hasn't given a specific timeline for when it expects to have all its proprietary rigs online. But the June production numbers suggest the transition is underway. The next quarterly update will show whether the 7.5% growth rate holds — and whether the AI cloud run rate keeps climbing.
