BitMart Sets August 8 Withdrawal Deadline for US Users as Platform Winds Down

BitMart has told US-based users they have until August 8, 2026 at 23:59 UTC to pull their assets off the exchange. The deadline is part of a broader shutdown that will see all trading stop by late August and the platform go dark in early 2027.

Who counts as a US user

BitMart defines US users as anyone who lives in or is located in the United States, or who is treated as a US user under the exchange's agreement and policies. That includes residents, citizens abroad, and anyone the platform flags based on its compliance rules. The company did not say how many accounts are affected.

What users need to do before the cutoff

Covered users must cancel all open orders, close any applicable positions, and redeem or withdraw eligible product balances. They also need to remove remaining assets from the platform. If a destination wallet doesn't support certain tokens, users may have to convert them first or find another way to move them.

BitMart recommends submitting withdrawal requests before 05:00 UTC on August 26, 2026, but that's not a hard deadline. Requests that come in after that time will enter a separate procedure with unspecified arrangements and documentation requirements. The company didn't give a maximum processing time for withdrawals, and some requests may stay under review even after the regional deadline passes.

Verification and security checks

Withdrawals under the US deadline may require identity verification, source-of-funds information, proof of wallet ownership, or a security review. BitMart warned that these checks could delay transfers, and it didn't promise a specific turnaround time.

Global wind-down timeline

The US deadline is one piece of a larger exit. BitMart will start suspending certain services on July 26, 2026 at 01:30 UTC. All trading ends on August 26, 2026 at 01:00 UTC. After that, the exchange plans to cease platform operations entirely on January 31, 2027 at 15:59 UTC. Users will still be able to log in after that date to view records and request withdrawals under whatever procedures are in place then.

BitMart U.S. is not a shortcut

Moving to BitMart U.S. isn't automatic. Users who want to switch need to open a new account and go through separate identity checks. Registration doesn't guarantee approval.

For now, the hard date is August 8. After that, BitMart says it may further restrict affected accounts, and any remaining assets will be handled under applicable law, the user agreement, and compliance procedures. Users who haven't moved their funds by then should expect the process to get more complicated.
