BNB Chain has extended its zero-fee program for transactions involving USDC, USD1, and U tokens, with the waiver now running through September 30. The program covers withdrawals, transfers, and bridging, meaning users can move these assets without paying network fees for the next several months.
What the zero-fee program covers
The program applies to three specific tokens: USDC, USD1, and U. For each of these, BNB Chain is waiving fees on three types of operations — withdrawals, transfers, and bridging. That means anyone moving these assets on the network can do so without incurring the usual transaction costs.
Bridging is a key part of the program. It allows users to move tokens between BNB Chain and other blockchain networks, a process that typically carries a fee. With the waiver in place, those costs are eliminated for the covered assets.
Why the extension matters
Transaction fees are a common barrier for users, especially when moving smaller amounts. By removing them, BNB Chain is making it cheaper to use these tokens on its network. The extension gives users a longer window to take advantage of the cost savings, which could encourage more activity around USDC, USD1, and U.
The program's scope is narrow — it doesn't apply to all tokens or all transaction types. But for the three assets included, the zero-fee structure removes a direct cost that would otherwise apply.
The new deadline
The program now runs until September 30. That's the date when the fee waiver is set to end. Until then, users can move USDC, USD1, and U across BNB Chain without paying network fees for withdrawals, transfers, or bridging.
After September 30, the program could be extended again, but no decision has been announced. For now, the window is clear: zero fees on these transactions through the end of September.
