Byte Federal, Inc. announced on June 17 that it has successfully launched a custom-built integration that brings BurraPay into America's regulated market — specifically, Nevada's regulated gaming sector. BurraPay is now the first cryptocurrency payments processor authorized to operate inside that tightly controlled environment, enabling secure and compliant crypto transactions at licensed casinos and sportsbooks.
Nevada's regulated gaming market
Nevada's gaming regulator has long kept a tight leash on payment methods inside casinos. Until now, crypto processors were effectively locked out. BurraPay's entry, backed by Byte Federal's integration, changes that. The move gives licensed operators a new way to accept digital currency without running afoul of state rules. The timing aligns with a broader push from some gaming companies to offer crypto options to high-rollers and tech-savvy patrons.
How the integration works
Byte Federal built a custom integration tailored to Nevada's compliance requirements. The system routes cryptocurrency payments through a regulated framework, meaning transactions are recorded and auditable — a key demand from the Nevada Gaming Control Board. For casinos, that means they can accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other coins without worrying about money-laundering or licensing violations. For players, it's a smoother way to fund accounts and cash out, though details on supported coins and transaction limits weren't disclosed.
Byte Federal's role
The Venice, Florida-based company is the technology partner behind the launch. Byte Federal specializes in building payment rails for regulated industries, and this integration is its first foray into gaming. The firm didn't say whether it plans to replicate the model for other states, but the architecture is designed to be adaptable. For now, the focus is on making sure Nevada's initial rollout goes smoothly.
The integration went live on June 17. BurraPay is now processing payments inside Nevada's licensed casinos and sportsbooks — a first for the state's regulated gaming market.
