Bybit has introduced 24/7 perpetual contracts for three major currency pairs, giving traders continuous access to EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY. The contracts are settled in USDT and support leverage up to 100 times.
Perpetual contracts for three FX pairs
The new contracts track the euro against the dollar, the pound against the dollar, and the dollar against the yen. Each pair is now available as a perpetual contract on Bybit's derivatives platform. Perpetual contracts have no fixed expiry date, allowing traders to hold positions as long as they maintain the required margin.
USDT settlement
All three contracts are settled in USDT, a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar. That means profits and losses are calculated in USDT rather than in the underlying currencies. This simplifies the settlement process for traders who already hold USDT.
Leverage up to 100x
Traders can use leverage of up to 100 times on these contracts. That allows a position size 100 times larger than the margin posted. High leverage amplifies both potential gains and losses, so it carries significant risk.
Round-the-clock trading
The contracts are available for trading 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Unlike traditional foreign exchange markets, which close on weekends, these perpetuals never stop. Traders can open or close positions at any time, including during holidays.
The new contracts are now live on Bybit's platform.
