Cardano Foundation and Brazilian tech firm Blockforce said Cardano (ADA) is now live as the public proof layer in Blockforce's enterprise supply-chain traceability platform. The system has anchored more than 500,000 supply-chain records on Cardano, giving independent verifiability to data that stays private on a separate ledger.
How the two ledgers split the work
The platform runs a dual-ledger architecture. Commercial data — purchase orders, shipment details, custody records — stays on Hyperledger Fabric, a permissioned blockchain. What goes to Cardano is a cryptographic proof, a compact fingerprint that lets anyone verify the underlying record hasn't been tampered with, without exposing the data itself.
That split is what makes public verification practical at scale. Joint engineering between the Cardano Foundation and Blockforce cut the cost per record by 92%, according to the announcement. That's the kind of number that makes a public proof layer viable for high-volume supply chains, where per-record costs have historically been a barrier.
The numbers matter: 500,000 records is a lot of hashes to push onto a public chain.
Fashion first, then autos and pharma
The platform is already running with Brazil's largest fashion groups, including Azzas 2154, the retail conglomerate behind brands like Hering and Farm. Azzas 2154 aims to trace 100% of its leather across its brands by 2030, and the Blockforce system is part of that effort.
Blockforce plans to expand the same dual-ledger structure into automotive, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. The architecture is the same: private data on Fabric, public proofs on Cardano.

Guilherme Pereira, Ecosystem Growth Specialist LATAM at Cardano Foundation, said blockchain fits naturally into enterprise infrastructure for verifiability, traceability, and scale. Suelen Joner, head of sustainability at Azzas 2154, said the solution works with data suppliers already produce, turning it into a single auditable record.
