Cardano and Injective Connect via IBC Testnet, EMURGO Leaves Intersect Board, ADA Rallies 26%

Cardano and Injective have established a cross-chain connection through the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol on testnet, allowing ADA and INJ tokens to move between both ecosystems. The development arrives as Cardano shifts into the Dijkstra era after the van Rossem upgrade, with Nested Transactions and Linear Leios targeted for mainnet by the end of the year. Separately, EMURGO resigned from the Intersect board and will deregister its delegated representatives, citing community criticism over governance and the Yoroi Wallet delegation experience. The news helped push ADA from roughly $0.15 in late July to a one-month high of $0.195 on August 4, a weekly gain of about 26%.

Cross-Chain Bridge Between Cardano and Injective

The IBC testnet connection means ADA and INJ are now available across both blockchains, enabling direct transfers and potential interoperability for decentralized applications. The move is a step toward deeper integration between the two networks, though the connection remains in testing. No timeline for a mainnet launch has been announced.

Dijkstra Era and Upcoming Upgrades

Cardano’s development cycle has entered the Dijkstra era following the van Rossem upgrade. Planned work includes Nested Transactions, which allow multiple transactions to be bundled, and Linear Leios, a scalability improvement. Both features are expected to reach mainnet by the end of the year, according to the development roadmap.

EMURGO’s Departure from Intersect

EMURGO, one of the founding entities behind Cardano, has resigned from the Intersect board and will deregister its delegated representatives. The decision follows community criticism over governance practices and the delegation experience with the Yoroi Wallet. The move leaves Intersect, a Cardano governance body, without EMURGO’s direct participation.

ADA Price Rally and Key Levels

The rally began with a 9% jump, and whales accumulated over 240 million ADA in five days, contributing to a roughly 22% price increase during that period. ADA is now testing resistance between $0.19 and $0.20. Analysts suggest a break above that range could lead to $0.28–$0.30, while holding above $0.17 is important for short-term structure. The price has since pulled back from the August 4 high, but remains well above the late-July lows.

Whether ADA can sustain its momentum and break above the $0.20 resistance will be a key test in the coming days. The mainnet deployment of Nested Transactions and Linear Leios is expected by the end of the year.
