DeLorean Labs Brings $DMC Token to Solana via Wormhole Bridge

DeLorean Labs, the Web3 division of DeLorean Motor Company, is bridging its native token $DMC to the Solana blockchain. The move, backed by the Solana Foundation and powered by the Wormhole bridge in partnership with Sunrise, lets Solana users buy, hold, stake, and use $DMC across several platforms. They'll also get early access to upcoming tokenized DeLorean vehicle drops.

Why Solana?

Solana has drawn a growing number of global brands, including Mastercard and Google. DeLorean Labs is the latest to build on the network. Sunrise, described as the day one asset gateway of Solana, will ensure $DMC lists with liquidity from the start. The Wormhole bridge connects DeLorean's existing infrastructure directly to Solana's ecosystem.

Tokenized Vehicle Reservations

DeLorean Labs says it's introducing the world's first tokenized electric vehicle using the DeLorean Protocol. That system handles on-chain vehicle reservation, a marketplace, and analytics. Solana users who hold $DMC can secure early access to those vehicle drops, though the company hasn't yet announced a timeline for the first drop.

Governance and Next Steps

$DMC holders also get a vote in DeLorean's governance framework — a setup the company calls a first-of-its-kind model for a globally recognized brand. How exactly that governance will shape vehicle production or tokenomics remains unclear. What is clear: the bridge goes live now, and the next milestone will be the first tokenized DeLorean vehicle drop on Solana.
