Enso has launched access to more than 500 tokenized assets and US stocks, the company said, pointing to rising demand among European investors for US equity exposure. The move lets users in Europe buy and sell tokenized versions of traditional stocks and other assets directly through the Enso platform, without needing a US brokerage account.
European Demand for US Equity Access
European investors have long faced barriers to investing directly in US stocks — from currency conversion fees to complex cross-border brokerage rules. Enso cited growing interest in US equities as the driving force behind the launch. The platform aims to simplify access by offering tokenized representations of those assets, which can be traded around the clock on blockchain-based infrastructure.
How Tokenization Works on Enso
Tokenization turns a real-world asset — like a share of Apple or a bond — into a digital token on a blockchain. Each token represents partial or full ownership of the underlying asset. On Enso, users can buy and sell these tokens just like cryptocurrencies, but the value is pegged to the corresponding US stock or asset. The company handles the custody and backing of the underlying securities, meaning the tokens are redeemable for the real thing.
What's Included in the Launch
The initial offering covers more than 500 tokenized assets, including major US stocks such as those in the S&P 500, as well as exchange-traded funds and other financial instruments. Enso said the full list is available on its platform, and new assets will be added based on user demand. The service is available immediately to eligible European investors, with no minimum investment amount disclosed.
Enso's expansion into tokenized securities places it alongside a growing number of platforms that blend traditional finance with blockchain technology. The company has not said whether it plans to extend the service to other regions.
