Ethereum Eyes Privacy Push in Next Upgrade, Letting Privacy Pools Pay Their Own Way

What the proposal changes

Privacy pools let users move funds without laying their whole history bare, but every transaction still costs gas. Someone has to pay. In current setups that's usually an outside operator or relayer, which means money flows through a third party before it ever reaches the chain.

The proposed package flips that. Pools would cover their own fees directly, no go-between required. No operator to route through, no relayer to wait on. The pool handles the cost itself, and the transaction goes through without a stopover at a middleman's desk.

Why the middleman was the weak spot

The intermediary was always the awkward part of the design. A fee payer sees the transactions it fronts, which chips away at the privacy the pools
