Fixed-rate crypto exchanges powered by SimpleSwap have been running inside the Exodus wallet for a year. In that time, the partner side of the product picked up five new capabilities, and none of them required Exodus or any other partner to change their integration. The companies also confirmed that automatic refunds are now in place for swaps that get paused during screening, and a small number of exchanges are currently paused for compliance reasons.
A Year of Fixed-Rate Swaps
The fixed-rate exchange has been a part of Exodus for twelve months. It's powered by SimpleSwap, which handles the backend. The feature lets users swap assets at a set rate, locking in the price before the trade goes through. Over the past year, the partner side of the product gained five capabilities, all of which were rolled out without any disruption to Exodus or other partners. That means the updates were handled entirely on SimpleSwap's side, with no need for wallet integrations to change.
Automatic Refunds for Paused Swaps
Among the five new capabilities is automatic refunds for swaps that get paused during screening. If a transaction is held for review, the user's funds are returned automatically. This removes the need for manual intervention and cuts down on waiting time for users who might otherwise be left in limbo. The companies didn't detail the other four capabilities, but they stressed that none of them required integration changes from partners.
Compliance Pauses
A small number of exchanges are currently paused for compliance reasons. The companies have not identified which exchanges are affected or what triggered the pause. It's also unclear how long the pause will last. The affected exchanges are not available to users right now, and there's no word on when they might return.
The companies have not said when the paused exchanges will be back online. For now, users of those specific pairs will have to use other options or wait for the review to finish.
