Fireblocks Launches Agentic Payments Suite for AI-Driven Stablecoin Transactions

Fireblocks has released the Agentic Payments Suite, a new platform built to let AI systems make payments using stablecoins. The suite targets payment service providers, fintech firms, and merchants who want to automate transactions without human intervention. It promises to handle the security and compliance side of AI-driven commerce.

What the platform does

The suite is designed to let AI agents — software that acts on its own — initiate and settle payments. Instead of relying on traditional payment rails, it uses stablecoins, which are cryptocurrencies pegged to a stable asset like the US dollar. Fireblocks says the platform manages the entire payment flow, from authorisation to settlement, while keeping the process secure.

Who it's for

Fireblocks is aiming the suite at three groups: payment service providers, fintech companies, and merchants. For PSPs, the appeal is the ability to offer clients a way to let AI bots handle purchases. Fintechs can build the tech into their own apps. Merchants get a system that accepts stablecoin payments triggered by machines, not people.

Why stablecoins matter for AI commerce

Stablecoins let AI agents move value without the delays of bank transfers or the volatility of other cryptocurrencies. That makes them a natural fit for automated transactions — a vending machine, for instance, could restock itself by paying a supplier directly. Fireblocks’ suite wraps that capability in the same custody and policy controls the company already provides for crypto firms.

The launch signals a push into a market that's still in its early stages. So far, most AI payment experiments have been small-scale. Fireblocks is betting that as AI agents take on more tasks, the demand for machine-to-machine payments will grow.

No pricing or launch date beyond the announcement was shared. The suite is available now to Fireblocks’ existing customers, with wider release expected in the coming months.
