Fireblocks Rolls Out Policy Inspector and Security Center to Bolster Digital Asset Protection

Fireblocks, a digital asset custody and settlement platform, has introduced three new security features aimed at giving its customers tighter control over their cryptocurrency operations. The updates — Policy Inspector, a Security Center, and enhanced admin roles — are designed to help firms prevent unauthorized transactions and monitor risks more effectively. The company says the changes represent a new standard for digital asset security.

Policy Inspector: Catching Errors Before They Happen

The Policy Inspector feature lets users test and simulate transaction policies before they go live. Instead of relying on trial and error, compliance teams can see how a proposed rule would affect real-world transfers. If a policy would accidentally block legitimate payments — or worse, fail to flag a suspicious one — the inspector catches it first. Fireblocks has not said how long the feature was in development, but it arrives as exchanges and custodians face increasing pressure from regulators to show they can enforce internal controls.

Security Center and Admin Role Upgrades

The new Security Center acts as a dashboard that aggregates security alerts, policy violations, and system health metrics in one place. Users get a single view of their organization's security posture, rather than jumping between separate logs. Alongside that, Fireblocks has overhauled its admin roles. The enhanced roles allow firms to assign granular permissions — for example, letting a junior operations manager approve low-value transactions while blocking them from altering high-value policy thresholds. The idea is to reduce the risk of insider threats without slowing down routine workflows.

Digital asset firms have been hit by a wave of hacks and insider thefts in the past year. Multi-signature wallets and hardware security modules aren't enough if an employee with broad admin access can bypass them. Fireblocks is betting that its customers will pay for tools that help them prove to auditors and regulators that they have defenses in depth. The Security Center and Policy Inspector are available immediately to all Fireblocks customers, the company confirmed.
