Flyfi, a privacy-focused online travel agency, has started offering premium hotel packages for major cryptocurrency and blockchain conferences. The packages let attendees book and pay entirely in crypto — no account creation, no tracking, no personal data handed over. The rollout kicks off with packages tied to Token2049 Singapore and the After2049 event.
Crypto payments without the KYC hassle
Most hotel bookings require a name, email, phone number, and payment card. Flyfi skips all of that. Users pick a package, pay with cryptocurrency, and get a confirmed reservation. The company says the process is designed for people who value privacy — a crowd that overlaps heavily with the crypto conference circuit.
It's a straightforward pitch: if you're already holding crypto and don't want to hand over your personal info to a booking platform, Flyfi gives you an alternative. The company hasn't disclosed which cryptocurrencies it accepts, but the model is built around frictionless payment.
Targeting the conference crowd
Token2049 is one of the largest crypto events in Asia, drawing thousands of attendees from exchanges, funds, and blockchain projects. The After2049 event is a side gathering that runs alongside the main conference. By launching with these two events, Flyfi is going straight for the audience most likely to use crypto for real-world spending.
The timing makes sense. Conference-goers often travel with crypto wallets and prefer to spend their holdings rather than convert to fiat. A hotel package that accepts direct crypto payment removes a step — and a privacy cost.
What the packages include
Flyfi is marketing these as premium packages, though it hasn't released specific hotel names or room categories. The company says the accommodations are selected for proximity to the conference venues and quality of service. Pricing is in crypto, so it fluctuates with market rates.
Bookings are handled through Flyfi's website. No account creation means no login, no password, no email verification. The company says it doesn't track users or store booking data beyond what's needed to fulfill the reservation.
Flyfi hasn't announced which conferences it will target next, but the initial focus is on Asia's largest crypto gathering. If the model works, expect more event-specific packages to follow.
