GoMining Academy is expanding beyond Bitcoin mining education with a new free course covering the broader blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem. The course, called "Blockchain and Crypto," is the third free offering from the academy and is available now.
What the course covers
The eight-lesson course is designed for people who want to understand the technology and concepts behind buying, holding, or using digital assets. It walks through the origins of blockchain, decentralized networks, Bitcoin, altcoins, stablecoins, smart contracts, NFTs, wallets, and private keys. It also explains the difference between Proof of Work and Proof of Stake, and looks at blockchain applications outside cryptocurrency.
There's about 80 minutes of content in total. Every lesson comes in video, text, and audio formats, with video subtitles in seven languages. You don't need any prior blockchain knowledge to start.
The academy's reach
GoMining Academy has attracted more than 740,000 learners so far. Over 194,000 people have completed at least one course. The existing courses have generated more than 105,000 ratings, averaging 4.8 out of 5.
That's a solid base for a platform that's now trying to be more than a mining tutorial hub.
Why GoMining is doing this
The expansion reflects GoMining's push to position its educational platform around the wider Bitcoin and crypto ecosystem. The company already runs an ecosystem serving more than 5.5 million users, with products like digital BTC miners, the GoMining Card, Simple Earn, Instant Funds, and the GOMINING token. Adding a general crypto course makes sense as a way to bring newcomers into that orbit.
How to take the course
The course is free and doesn't require a GoMining account to access the material. You only need an account if you want to save your progress, take the final test, and earn a completion certificate. The test has 10 questions, and you need eight correct answers to pass.
The course is live now through GoMining Academy. Whether it draws the same numbers as the mining-focused offerings remains to be seen, but the door is open for anyone curious about how crypto actually works.
