HTX Ventures Takes TOKEN2049 Booth as Justin Sun Pitches Stablecoins and AI Agents

HTX Ventures set up shop at TOKEN2049 in Singapore this month, exhibiting at the Sands Expo and Convention Center on October 7-8 with a booth at Level 5, PB5-47 and PB5-48. The global investment arm of HTX used the two-day conference for brand displays, community activities, and merchandise handouts. Justin Sun, an advisor to HTX, attended TOKEN2049 events, gave a speech, and stopped by the HTX Ventures booth.

What Sun said in his video address

Sun, a core supporter of HTX DAO, delivered a video address at the DAO's 'Future Night' event on the evening of October 6. He didn't announce a product or a listing. Instead, he laid out a broad view of where crypto fits as traditional finance and digital assets keep converging.

His central point: the industry is deepening its ties with traditional finance, and that's driving the continued digital transformation of global financial infrastructure. He also drew a line between AI and crypto — AI is changing how wealth gets created, he said, while crypto and digital finance are reshaping how it's held and transferred.

Sun singled out stablecoins as a piece of plumbing that could carry more weight in global payments and settlements. He also said the use of traditional assets like bonds, funds, and gold on-chain will keep evolving. That's not a new argument, but it's one that keeps gaining traction as tokenized treasuries and gold-backed products multiply.

On AI agents, Sun said demand for digital identities, account infrastructure, and the ability to transact autonomously is likely to grow as those agents take on more economic activity. He closed by saying the long-term value of any technology comes down to whether it delivers tangible productivity gains, and that the free flow of value in the digital world will be a key trend over the next decade.

Molly on what HTX DAO is actually building

The Future Night lineup also included Molly, an HTX DAO ambassador, who spoke about ecosystem mechanisms, community building, and the on-chain ecosystem. Her most concrete line was that the DAO is exploring potential token utility and ecosystem applications, alongside other initiatives aimed at supporting ecosystem development.

That's a deliberately open-ended description. No token was named, no timeline was given. But for a DAO that has spent much of its public-facing energy on events and community, signaling that token utility is under review is worth noting — especially with a large audience of ecosystem contributors in the room.

The rest of the Singapore schedule

Beyond Future Night, HTX DAO hosted an 'HTX DAO Reunion.' A private industry dinner also ran during the week, giving invited industry participants, ecosystem contributors, and partners a chance to connect and swap views away from the conference floor.

TOKEN2049 itself ran from October 6 to 8. HTX Ventures' booth presence — brand displays, on-site community activities, branded merchandise — was standard conference-footprint stuff, the kind of setup that's less about product demos and more about making sure the brand is visible in a crowded hall.

What comes next

The immediate question is whether HTX DAO's token utility exploration produces something concrete or stays in the discussion phase. Molly gave no deadline. Sun's address was similarly forward-looking, framing stablecoins, on-chain traditional assets, and AI-agent infrastructure as decade-scale trends rather than near-term roadmaps.

For now, the takeaways from Singapore are positioning statements. HTX Ventures got its booth in front of the TOKEN2049 crowd. HTX DAO got its community together twice in three days. Sun got his message out on video. The next checkpoint is whether any of the token utility work the DAO mentioned turns into an actual proposal.
