Human.tech released the Clean SDK this week, a development framework designed for building private blockchain applications that integrate zero-knowledge identity verification and automated sanctions screening. The toolkit aims to give developers a ready-made compliance layer while preserving user privacy — a balancing act that has tripped up many enterprise blockchain projects.
What the Clean SDK does
The SDK provides pre-built modules for identity management using zero-knowledge proofs, meaning users can prove attributes like age or nationality without revealing their full identity. On top of that, it includes sanctions screening against global watchlists, allowing apps to block transactions from sanctioned entities without exposing the underlying personal data. The framework targets private or permissioned blockchains, not public networks.
Privacy and compliance have often been at odds in blockchain development.
