Liminal Launches Prime, an Enterprise Suite for Stablecoin Liquidity

Liminal, a digital asset infrastructure provider, today launched Liminal Prime, an enterprise software suite that gives institutions a single point of access to stablecoin liquidity. The suite combines principal OTC dealing and liquidity provider connectivity with Liminal's existing wallet and key-management tools. It's aimed at locally licensed exchanges, banks, payment firms, fintechs, market makers, corporate treasuries and OTC desks.

Three products, one platform

Liminal Prime is built around three modules. White-Glove OTC handles high-value, complex, time-sensitive block trades through a dedicated dealing desk with human interaction. Liminal acts as principal counterparty where regulatory frameworks permit. Electronic OTC, or eOTC, offers GUI and API access to streaming and firm quotes for high-frequency transactions, with Liminal again acting as principal subject to local licensing.

The third piece, Bridge, is different. It's a technology platform that gives institutions a single screen or API to request quotes from and trade directly with liquidity providers they've separately onboarded. In that case, Liminal isn't the counterparty, doesn't operate an exchange, and takes no custody of assets.

Built for regulated institutions

Liminal is careful to frame Prime as infrastructure, not a service that takes on compliance. The technology is delivered strictly to authorized entities that are responsible for their own local regulatory compliance. Each product operates as an independent module, licensed and deployed separately, so an institution can adopt just the piece that fits its operational and regulatory requirements.

That modularity is a deliberate design choice. A bank can use Bridge without touching the principal dealing side, or a market maker can plug into eOTC without taking on the white-glove desk.

The $100 billion base

The new suite sits on top of Liminal's existing wallet infrastructure, which has processed more than $100 billion in on-chain transactions across over 20 blockchain networks for institutions in more than 12 countries. That's the foundation Prime is built on, and it gives Liminal a track record to point to as it pushes into the liquidity connectivity space.

The suite is available now. The first deployments will show whether institutions want the full package or just the Bridge piece, and how quickly the principal dealing side gains traction among licensed players.
