MicroStrategy Deepens Bitcoin Bet With $243M Purchase as Polkadot Reveals New ZK Proof

MicroStrategy added another $243 million worth of Bitcoin to its already massive stash this week, bringing its total holdings to 478,740 BTC. The purchase comes as the State of Wyoming cleared more than $2 billion in convertible senior notes for the company. Meanwhile, Polkadot (DOT) is trading near a critical $1.16 support level and is technically oversold, while developers introduced a zero-knowledge proof for the Parallel Ethereum Virtual Machine (PEMM).

MicroStrategy’s $243M Bitcoin Purchase

The latest buy keeps MicroStrategy as the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin by a wide margin. The company funded the purchase with proceeds from convertible note sales, including the newly approved $2 billion batch from Wyoming. Those notes give MicroStrategy a low-cost way to raise capital while betting big on Bitcoin’s long-term appreciation. The firm now holds roughly 2.3% of all Bitcoin that will ever exist, based on the 21 million cap.

Polkadot’s Oversold Signal at $1.16

DOT has been under pressure, and technical indicators show it’s oversold at the $1.16 level. That sets up a binary outlook: either the token bounces back toward $1.30 within the next two weeks, or it breaks down through $1.13 — a drop that would test even lower support. The move either way could be sharp given how stretched the selling has been. Traders are watching the $1.16 zone closely as a make-or-break area for the short term.

Zero-Knowledge Proof for Parallel EVM

On the development side, a new zero-knowledge proof has been introduced for the Parallel Ethereum Virtual Machine — referred to as PEMM. The upgrade allows the system to efficiently prove parallel EVM execution, which means faster transaction verification without increasing the trust burden. It’s a technical step aimed at scaling smart contract activity on Polkadot’s ecosystem, though the immediate impact on DOT’s price isn’t clear. The 14-day window for the price action mentioned above will likely play out regardless of this news, but the longer-term infrastructure benefit is real if the proof gets adopted broadly.
