Ondo Brings Tokenized Stocks to Hyperliquid's HyperEVM

Ondo Finance has launched tokenized stocks on Hyperliquid's HyperEVM blockchain, bringing real-world equities to one of crypto's fastest-growing layer-1 networks. The move lets traders access tokenized versions of major stocks directly within Hyperliquid's ecosystem, bypassing traditional brokerages.

How the integration works

Ondo's Global Markets platform handles the tokenization and custody, while HyperEVM provides the execution layer. Users can now trade tokenized shares of companies like Apple and Tesla on Hyperliquid's order book, with settlement happening on-chain. The integration went live this week, Ondo confirmed.

$1B in less than eight months

Ondo also disclosed that its Global Markets platform has surpassed $1 billion in total value locked — a milestone reached in under eight months since launch. The TVL figure includes tokenized Treasuries, private credit, and now equities. That growth outpaces most DeFi protocols in the same timeframe.

Why Hyperliquid

Hyperliquid's HyperEVM chain processes thousands of transactions per second with sub-second finality, making it a fit for high-frequency trading of tokenized stocks. The chain has seen explosive growth this year, with its native token HYPE climbing into the top 20 by market cap. Ondo's integration gives HyperEVM a direct bridge to traditional finance — something the network lacked until now.

The timing isn't accidental. Ondo has been expanding its RWA offerings across multiple chains, including Ethereum and Solana. HyperEVM's low fees and fast throughput make it a natural next stop.

As of now, the tokenized stocks are available to non-U.S. users due to regulatory restrictions. Ondo hasn't said whether it plans to open the service to U.S. residents, though the compliance framework for tokenized securities remains a moving target.
