Pi Network's Core Team has rolled out a major redesign of its mining app, introducing a new side menu, dark mode, and improved UI/UX. The update is the first step in a broader refresh driven by user feedback, but the rollout will be iterative — the team says it's because the app has 60 million engaged Pioneers. The news comes as the project's native token, PI, lost the $0.10 support level and hit a new all-time low of roughly $0.07 on CoinGecko.
What the redesign includes
The new side menu gives users quicker access to key features, and the dark mode option is a long-requested addition. The Core Team described the changes as the beginning of a larger overhaul, though they didn't provide a timeline for the full refresh. With tens of millions of active users, the team is taking a phased approach to avoid disrupting the network. The update is available now for download.
PI token's price slide
PI briefly rebounded to $0.085 after the redesign announcement but was quickly rejected and fell back to $0.073. It later recovered to $0.078, still well below the $0.10 level that had acted as support. The all-time low of $0.07 marks a significant drop for a token that has seen volatile trading since its launch. The price action suggests sellers remain in control despite the positive news from the app team.
Unlock pressure ahead
Data from PiScan shows nearly 130 million PI tokens are scheduled to be unlocked in the next month. That volume could add to selling pressure, especially if holders decide to cash out after the price decline. The unlock schedule is a known factor in the token's supply dynamics, but the sheer size of the upcoming release has traders watching closely. The next few weeks will show whether the app improvements can help stabilize sentiment — or if the unlock wave pushes PI even lower.
