PI Token Slips to Record Low as Pi Network Pushes v25 Migration Deadline

PI token touched its lowest price ever on Monday, dipping under $0.12 before bouncing back to around $0.13. The drop — a 12% decline over the past week — leaves the token down 96% from its February 2025 all-time high. The slide comes as Pi Network wraps up its protocol v24 upgrade and sets a June 18 deadline for migrating to v25.

PI hits fresh floor

The brief dip below $0.12 marked the first time PI has traded that low since its market debut. Analyst Erick Crypto noted that the token's relative strength index is hovering near oversold territory, which could signal a bounce if buyers step in. But trading volume remains thin, so any recovery isn't confirmed yet. The low volume also means even small sell orders can push the price around.

Protocol upgrade and new games

Pi Network completed the v24 upgrade this month and has set a hard deadline of June 18 for validators and nodes to migrate to v25. The upgrade is part of the network's push toward open mainnet. Separately, CiDi Games — a portfolio company under Pi Network Ventures — rolled out four new games: Coin Whack, Fruit Stack, Gemnova, and RainbowCubes. The additions aim to keep the ecosystem active while users wait for bigger milestones.

Pi2Day expectations

The broader community has its eyes on June 28, or Pi2Day, an annual event where the Pi team often drops news. Nothing's confirmed yet, but speculation is building around possible ecosystem updates, feature launches, or announcements tied to mainnet progress. Whether that's enough to reverse the token's steep slide is the open question.
