QuickSwap Integrates KalqiX for Order Book Trading on Base Network

QuickSwap has added KalqiX to its platform, bringing trustless order book execution to the Base network. The move is designed to improve trade efficiency and could shift how liquidity is managed in decentralized finance.

What the integration brings

KalqiX is an order book protocol that lets traders place limit orders without relying on a central intermediary. By plugging into QuickSwap, it gives users on Base—Coinbase's Ethereum layer-2 chain—a new way to execute trades. The system uses on-chain matching, so orders settle directly on the network. That means no off-chain book, no custody risk from a middleman.

QuickSwap already runs on Polygon and other chains. Adding KalqiX on Base expands its reach. The team says the integration is live now. No timeline for additional features was given.

Most decentralized exchanges still rely on automated market makers—pools where prices are set by a formula. Order books are more familiar to traditional traders, but they've been hard to pull off on-chain because of gas costs and latency. KalqiX claims to solve that with a design that keeps matching trustless while staying efficient.

If the integration works as advertised, it could change how liquidity providers think about their strategies. Instead of just depositing into a pool, they might place limit orders that earn fees only when filled. That's a different risk profile. It's too early to say whether it will catch on, but the option is now there.

Base has been growing fast since its launch. More DeFi protocols are building on it. QuickSwap's move is another sign that the network is becoming a hub for trading activity.

The integration doesn't require any new token or migration. Existing QuickSwap users on Base can start using KalqiX immediately. The interface shows both AMM and order book options side by side.

No word yet on whether other chains will get the same treatment. QuickSwap hasn't announced a roadmap for KalqiX beyond Base.
