Ripple has voted in favor of two amendments on the XRP Ledger that would add vaults and a lending protocol to the network. The proposals — XLS-65, the Single Asset Vault, and XLS-66, the Lending Protocol — are now on the ledger and moving closer to activation. If they pass, they'll give the chain its first native way to lock assets and borrow against them.

XLS-65 would let users create vaults holding XRP, RLUSD, or other crypto assets. It's a straightforward feature, but one the ledger has never had natively.
