Robinhood Chain Surpasses 2 Million Monthly Users, TVL Hits $480M

Robinhood Chain has crossed 2 million monthly active users, the company said this week, marking a 50% jump in just seven days. The blockchain, which launched on July 1, now holds $480 million in total value locked and has processed between $8 billion and $9 billion in decentralized exchange volume since its debut.

Rapid user growth in a week

The user base climbed from roughly 1.3 million to over 2 million in a single week. That pace suggests strong adoption among retail traders who already use Robinhood's main app. The company hasn't broken down how many of those users are new to crypto versus existing customers, but the surge follows a broader uptick in on-chain activity across the industry.

TVL and DEX volume figures

Total value locked on Robinhood Chain stands at $480 million. That's a measure of assets deposited into the network's decentralized finance protocols. The chain has also facilitated $8-9 billion in DEX volume since its July 1 launch, putting it in the same conversation as newer layer-2 networks. The numbers come from the project's own dashboard and third-party trackers.

What the chain offers

Robinhood Chain is designed to let users trade, lend, and borrow crypto without leaving the Robinhood ecosystem. It runs on Ethereum-compatible infrastructure, meaning existing DeFi apps can be ported over with minimal changes. The company has not disclosed how many developers are building on the chain, but the TVL figure suggests meaningful usage.

The chain's launch came at a time when many retail-focused platforms are trying to capture on-chain activity. Robinhood's bet is that its existing user base — millions of stock and crypto traders — will start using the chain for self-custody and decentralized trading.

Robinhood hasn't announced specific milestones for the chain beyond the current growth. The next test will be whether it can sustain the pace of user additions and keep TVL climbing. With $480 million locked, it's still a fraction of the billions held on larger chains like Ethereum or Solana, but the 50% weekly user gain shows momentum.
