SBI VC Trade, the crypto arm of Japanese financial group SBI Holdings, has launched a limited-time campaign that lowers the spread on leveraged Bitcoin trading. The standard BTC/JPY spread drops from 5,000 yen to 3,333 yen, a cut of roughly one-third. For traders who open and close positions frequently, that's a meaningful reduction in the cost of each trade.
Cheaper entries and exits
The spread is the difference between the buy and sell price. A narrower spread means you pay less to execute a trade. On leveraged positions, where fees and spreads often eat into profits, this can make a real difference. SBI VC Trade is effectively offering a discount to anyone using leverage on Bitcoin during the campaign period.
A familiar name in crypto
SBI VC Trade is the crypto subsidiary of SBI Holdings, one of Japan's largest financial groups. SBI is also known for its long-standing partnership with Ripple, which has kept it in the spotlight as a major player in the digital asset space. This campaign looks like a push to attract more trading volume to its platform.
A limited window
The campaign is time-limited, but SBI VC Trade hasn't said exactly when it ends. That leaves traders with a clear incentive to move quickly if they want the reduced spread. The exchange hasn't given a specific expiration date, so the clock is ticking.
