Securitize Launches Tokenized High-Income Fund on Avalanche

Securitize has launched a tokenized fixed-income fund on the Avalanche blockchain, giving eligible investors on-chain access to high-yield bonds, collateralized loan obligations, and leveraged loans. Neuberger Berman is serving as subadvisor for the fund — its first time in that role for a tokenized product.

A first for Neuberger Berman

The fund, called the Neuberger Securitize High Income Tokenized Fund (HINC), marks a notable step for Neuberger Berman. The asset manager has taken on the subadvisor role, meaning it will oversee the portfolio's day-to-day investment decisions. This is the firm's first involvement as subadvisor for a tokenized fund.

For Securitize, the launch extends its push to bring traditional fixed-income products onto blockchain rails. The company has been building out a suite of tokenized funds, and HINC adds a high-income option to that lineup.

What's inside the fund

HINC focuses on income-generating credit instruments. The fund holds high-yield bonds, CLOs, and leveraged loans — assets that historically have been harder for individual investors to reach. Tokenization doesn't change what's in the portfolio, but it does change how investors can access it.

Eligible investors get on-chain exposure to these credit markets through the fund's tokenized shares. That means the ownership record lives on the Avalanche blockchain, and the fund's value is tracked digitally rather than through traditional paper statements.

Built on Avalanche

Securitize chose Avalanche for this fund, a network known for its speed and low transaction costs. The blockchain has become a common home for tokenized real-world assets, and HINC joins a growing list of funds that use the network.

The fund is now live and available to eligible investors through Securitize's platform. Anyone interested will need to go through the usual onboarding and accreditation checks before they can buy in.

What remains to be seen is how quickly traditional asset managers follow Neuberger Berman's lead. Tokenized fixed income is still a young market, and this fund gives investors a new way to reach yield without leaving the blockchain.
