Solana ETFs Shed $24.8M, Ending 14-Week Inflow Streak

US spot Solana ETFs lost $24.8 million in the week ending October 9, their biggest weekly outflow since the funds launched in October 2025 and the first break in a 14-week run of consecutive inflows. The pullback was nearly three times the previous record outflow — $8.9 million in the week ending February 6 — and landed alongside heavy redemptions across the crypto ETF complex.

A streak that ran out of room

The reversal is stark. Two weeks before the outflow, Solana ETFs pulled in $188.2 million, their second-biggest week on record. By the week ending October 2, that pace had slowed to $2.4 million. Then it turned negative. Net assets in Solana funds fell 8.9% over the week, from $1.90 billion to $1.73 billion. The outflow itself explains only about $25 million of that decline. The rest came from SOL's price slide.

SOL's price did most of the damage

SOL dropped 10.25% during the trading week before recovering modestly over the weekend. It traded at $111.53 at press time, up 1.45% over the past 24 hours. For fundholders, the damage was more market than flow: the ETF exit was meaningful but small relative to a roughly $170 million drop in net assets. That's the uncomfortable math of a week like this — the redemptions get the headline, but the mark-to-market loss gets the dollars.

Not a Solana-only problem

The week was rough across the board. Bitcoin ETFs shed $681.1 million, and Ethereum funds lost $542.1 million, closing on a ninth straight outflow day. Zcash ETFs posted $30.7 million in outflows and Hyperliquid ETFs another $9.4 million. Solana's $24.8 million exit was large by its own history but small next to Bitcoin's or Ethereum's. The difference: those two have deep enough asset bases to absorb weeks like this without breaking a growth streak. Solana's ETF suite is younger, thinner, and had been running hot since launch.

XRP funds kept drawing money

One spot crypto ETF category did not follow the crowd. XRP ETFs took in $11.3 million over the same week, extending their inflow streak to 13 consecutive weeks. Their last outflow week ended July 10. The buying held up even as XRP fell 8.2% during the week — a divergence that suggests a different holder base or a different set of use cases driving allocation. Cumulative net inflows into XRP ETFs reached a record $1.80 billion, while net assets stood lower at $1.57 billion.

Since January 1, Solana ETFs have attracted $816.8 million and XRP ETFs $635.5 million, against $494.1 million for spot Bitcoin ETFs. Solana still leads that year-to-date race, despite this week's stumble.

What the next print will show

The next weekly flow report, covering trading through October 16, will show whether fund buyers stepped back in after the price drop or stayed on the sidelines. For Solana's ETF suite, that print matters more than usual. A quick return to inflows would frame this week as a pause. A second straight outflow would suggest the launch-year momentum has genuinely cooled, and that the funds are now trading on SOL's price action rather than adding independent demand.
