Sonic Labs is shaking up its leadership. Three founding board members — Andre Cronje, Michael Kong, and David Richardson — are stepping down. Matt Visser takes over as CEO, and Kosta Kourkoumelis has been named chief operating officer.
Departure of the founding board
Andre Cronje, Michael Kong, and David Richardson, who together formed Sonic Labs' original board, are resigning their positions. The company did not give a reason for the departures. The three had been on the board since the company's founding.
New leadership team
Matt Visser, the incoming CEO, will run day-to-day operations. Kosta Kourkoumelis steps into the COO role. Both appointments are effective immediately. The company said the new leadership will oversee Sonic Labs' next phase.
CEO's daily improvement pledge
Visser said he plans to get '1% better' every day. He did not elaborate on specific targets or how that improvement would be measured. The pledge is a personal commitment rather than a formal company goal.
