US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded their first daily net outflow since July 13 on Thursday, with $225 million leaving the funds. The outflow snapped a seven-day streak of net inflows that had attracted nearly $1 billion.
Streak broken
The $225 million exit marked a sharp reversal after a week of steady buying. From July 14 through July 22, the ETFs pulled in roughly $1 billion combined, pushing cumulative inflows for the month higher. Thursday's outflow wiped out about a fifth of those gains in a single day.
Previous outflow
The last net outflow came on July 13, though the amount wasn't disclosed in the same data set. That means the funds had strung together seven consecutive days of positive flows before Thursday's reversal. The exact cause of the outflow wasn't immediately clear from the available figures.
