STON.fi Launches Cross-Chain Swaps Linking TON to TRON and Major EVM Networks

STON.fi, the leading automated market maker on The Open Network, has rolled out cross-chain swaps inside its app. The feature connects TON to TRON and a handful of EVM-compatible chains — Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, and Robinhood Chain. Users can now shift stablecoins between those networks without relying on centralized exchanges, third-party bridges, or wrapped assets.

How the swaps work

The system is powered by Omniston, an execution layer STON.fi built to coordinate the swap between source and destination chains. It uses Hashed Timelock Contracts (HTLCs) to make sure both sides of the trade complete together — or neither does. That atomicity means no partial fills, no stuck funds. Most swaps finish in 20 to 30 seconds, with the full range running 15 to 40 seconds. Before confirming, users see the exact asset and amount they’ll receive. If something fails, funds bounce back instead of vanishing into a bridge contract.

STON.fi is already one of the most-used DeFi apps on TON. Adding cross-chain capability lets it pull liquidity from bigger ecosystems without forcing users to leave the app. The approach avoids the risks that have plagued bridge hacks and wrapped-asset depegs — no custody, no synthetic tokens. For TON holders who wanted to move USDT to Ethereum or Base, this is a direct path that didn’t exist before.

Backing and background

STON.fi was originally built as the top AMM on TON and has attracted backing from CoinFund, Delphi Ventures, The Open Platform, Karatage, and TON Ventures. The cross-chain feature is live now in the STON.fi app. No word yet on whether more chains will be added, but the Omniston architecture is designed to be extensible.
