Strategy, the company formerly known as MicroStrategy, sold out its $250 Bitcoin-themed Air Jordans in four days. The shoes launched Sept. 4 and by Sept. 8 all nine advertised sizes were listed as unavailable. The company didn't disclose how many pairs it offered or when inventory ran out.
The sellout
Sizes ranged from 6.5 to 14, each priced at $250. As of Tuesday, every size showed as sold out on the company's merch site. There's no restock date posted, so anyone who missed out is out of luck for now.
Strategy also didn't say whether the sellout was a surprise or part of a planned limited drop. The company has been quiet on the details, which is typical for a merch line that's more about brand building than revenue.
The shoes
The sneakers are described as inspired by the original Air Jordan 1, with custom company branding, leather overlays, Nike Air cushioning, and the Air Jordan Wings logo. They're not a collaboration with Nike or Jordan Brand — just a themed product using the classic silhouette.
This isn't Strategy's first merch push. The company also sells a $50 Bitcoin Strategy Game, a $125 hoodie, and a $35 organic cotton Saylor shirt. Notably, the payment options listed include American Express, Apple Pay, Diners Club, Discover, Google Pay, Mastercard, and Visa — but Bitcoin isn't among them.
Strategy's Bitcoin identity
The sneaker drop fits a broader rebrand. Strategy dropped the MicroStrategy name in February 2025 and has built its public image around Bitcoin. The company holds 845,050 BTC, which works out to about 4.02% of Bitcoin's fixed 21 million supply.
That's a lot of Bitcoin, and the merch line is a way to keep the brand in front of retail fans. The shoes sold out fast, but the company hasn't said if it will make more.
No restock date
As of now, the product page shows all sizes unavailable, and there's no word on a second run. Strategy hasn't posted a restock date, so the sneakers are gone — at least for the moment.
