Strive Adds 20 BTC to Treasury, Now Holds 20,020 Bitcoin

Strive has quietly added another 20 Bitcoin to its corporate treasury, bringing its total holdings to 20,020 BTC. The purchase, disclosed this week, marks a continuation of the firm's strategy of accumulating the cryptocurrency rather than selling it.

20 BTC added to treasury

The buy is small relative to Strive's existing stack — just a 0.1% increase. But it signals that the company remains committed to holding Bitcoin on its balance sheet. The firm now owns roughly 20,020 BTC, worth about $1.3 billion at current prices.

Strive didn't say when exactly the purchase was made or at what price. The company has been a steady buyer over the past year, adding a few dozen coins each quarter.

A growing war chest

Strive's Bitcoin treasury has grown from zero to over 20,000 BTC in about three years. The firm first disclosed its Bitcoin holdings in early 2023, starting with a modest 1,000 BTC. Since then, it's been buying in fits and starts — sometimes scooping up hundreds of coins in a single month, sometimes just a handful.

The company treats its Bitcoin as a long-term reserve asset. It has not sold any of its holdings, according to public filings. That's a bet that Bitcoin's price will continue to appreciate over time, even as the broader crypto market has seen its share of ups and downs this year.

No change in strategy signaled

There's no indication Strive is altering its approach. The 20 BTC purchase is routine. The firm's leadership has previously said it views Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation and a store of value — similar to how some companies hold gold.

Strive isn't alone. A handful of publicly traded and private firms now hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets. But Strive's stash puts it among the top corporate holders, behind only MicroStrategy and a few others.

The timing of this latest buy isn't particularly dramatic. Bitcoin's price has been range-bound for weeks, trading between $60,000 and $70,000. Strive appears to be dollar-cost averaging, buying small amounts regardless of short-term price moves.

What comes next? The firm's next quarterly filing will show whether it added more coins in the months ahead. For now, the number is 20,020 BTC — and counting.
