Strive has added another 1,800 bitcoin to its balance sheet, pushing the firm into the fifth spot among public companies holding the asset. The purchase, disclosed this week, brings its total hoard to a level that analysts at TD Cowen now expect to grow further by the end of 2026.
TD Cowen raises the bar
TD Cowen lifted its price target for Strive (ASST) on the back of the latest acquisition. The firm's analysts now project Strive will end 2026 with 27,156 BTC — nearly 4,300 more than their previous forecast. That revision suggests the buying spree isn't slowing down.
What the new rank means
Jumping to fifth-largest among public bitcoin treasuries puts Strive in the company of the usual suspects — the big miners, the software firms, the ones that made bitcoin a core part of their treasury strategy. It's a crowded field, and the bar keeps moving as others add too.
The timing works in Strive's favor. Bitcoin's price has been choppy this summer, but the firm's steady accumulation suggests a longer view. Whether that patience pays off depends on where the market heads in the fourth quarter.
TD Cowen's new target implies more buys between now and December. Strive hasn't said when it plans to stop, and the market will be watching the next monthly disclosure for signs the pace is holding. If the forecast holds, the gap between Strive and the fourth-place holder could narrow quickly.
